There are several ways you can get involved with the Library’s work! Find the possibilities below.
Donate
You can donate financially to your Library, either directly to the Library or through our endowment fund with East Tennessee Foundation.

You can contribute assets of value to the Johnson City Public Library (JCPL) Fund, an endowment fund with East Tennessee Foundation. Learn more about the JCPL Fund and how to contribute here.
We accept donations of books and media as well, which are sold at Friends of the Library book sales. All proceeds from the Friends’ sales go directly to furthering the Library’s work. Click here to find out how to donate items.
Volunteer at the Library
Your Library depends on volunteer help from our community! Volunteering at the Library can also fulfill college service hours. We have volunteer opportunities for teens and adults.

Become a Friend of the Library
The Friends of the Johnson City Public Library is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization made up of volunteers dedicated to the welfare of Johnson City Public Library. The group provides funds for physical and digital library materials, staff support, and library programs.
